Flash Point: N/A |
Flammable Limits: N/A |
Extinguishing Media: Water & dry chemical powder |
Special fire fighting procedures: Firefighter must wear SCBA & full protective clothing. |
Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards: Powdered material may form explosive dust-air mixture. Mixing cellulose esters in a non-polar hydrocarbon, such as toluene or xylene, may result in the buildup of static electricity, which can cause a flash fire or an explosion. When adding cellulose ester to a flammable liquid, an inert gas atmosphere should be maintained within the vessel. |

Effects of Overexposure: |
Emergency & First Aide Procedures: In case of contact immediately wash skin with soap and copious amounts of water. EYES: flush with copious amounts of water for 15 min. Assure adequate flushing of eyes by separating eye lids. If inhaled remove to fresh air. Remove and wash contaminated clothing promptly. |
